About

To our 2004 Festival volunteers-  Thanks so much for your help and dedication.  Your contributions really do make a major difference in the success of the Festival.  It was great to see familiar faces in th volunteer corps and nice to meet the new folks too.  The Festival staff has met to discuss where we can improve for next year and soon we'll be talking about what music and folk artists we'll be presenting in 2005.  This year's volunteers should be hearing from the MSU Museum in February or March.

Thanks, again.  We couldn't put on this wonderful event without YOU!

The festival could not be staged without the tremendous contributions of time and energy provided by the more than 500 volunteers involved each year. Each volunteer is expected to work a minimum of four hours during the festival and there are two and four-hour shifts, depending on the task.

In addition to having the satisfaction of being a part of making this special event happen, volunteers receive a festival t-shirt, an invitation to the Volunteer and Performer Party held on Saturday night of the festival, access to the festival “green rooms” and a regular newsletter featuring information about invited performers and special activities.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer member of the festival team, we would love to hear from you.
